May 23, Startup Summit Sweden – the Netherlands

On Wednesday the 23rd and Thursday the 24th Prince Daniel visited Amsterdam to attend both the “Startup Summit Sweden-Netherlands” and “The Next Web” fair.

The visit began with a tour of the newly opened Epicenter Amsterdam. Epicenter is a Swedish digital innovation-house which also exists since previously in Stockholm. In the 11,000 square meters of premises in Amsterdam, digital start-up companies and larger multinational companies can now meet.

At Epicenter, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands, the Embassy of Sweden in the Hague, and the Dutch Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy organized the ‘Startup summit Sweden-The Netherlands: all you need to know about connecting the Swedish-Dutch Startup Scene”.

Together with Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, Prince Daniel attended the seminar. The two Princes initially spoke to the audience about their views on the importance of entrepreneurship and what both countries can learn from each other. The Secretary of State at the Ministry for Enterprise and Innovation, Stina Billinger was also present.
