Alexandra Gummesson, New Branding & Marketing Committee Member
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Alexandra Gummesson as the newest member of our Branding & Marketing Committee! Alexandra brings valuable experience in branding and storytelling. She currently leads the brand evolution and communications strategy at WMC, an Amsterdam-based global commodity trading company providing solutions for the world’s energy transition. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the University of Amsterdam and is already a familiar face in our community, having previously worked as a Marketing & Communications Trainee at the Swedish Chamber.

SSE Executive MBA Alumni meet in Amsterdam
On October 3, 2025, the Executive MBA program of the Stockholm School of Economics hosted an alumni event in Amsterdam. We were invited to present, sharing information about the Chamber’s activities, services, and the Young Professionals network. CEO Petra Zachrisson Beets delivered a presentation on the Chamber, while Noel Schreiber presented on the Swedish Chamber Young Professionals network.   Thank you for having us, it was a true pleasure!

Swedish Chamber International Strategic Meeting
Between 15–19 September, Kerstin Gerlagh represented the Netherlands during the Swedish Chamber International (SCI) Board Members’ visit to New York and Washington, D.C., where the Board convened for meetings and strategic discussions aimed at further strengthening and professionalising SCI for the future. The hosting chambers, the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACCNY) and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce US, had prepared an excellent supplementary programme for the Board. Highlights included a dinner at the residence of the Consul General of Sweden in New York, featuring distinguished speakers, as well as meetings with the CFO and General Manager of Spotify at their New York offices. The programme also included sessions with Nancy Fischer, Financial Times, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Moody’s, AmCham, United States Council for International Business (USCIB) and several other insightful and impactful discussions. These engagements provided valuable perspectives on today’s U.S. business climate and enhanced our collective understanding of transatlantic business opportunities. Through these activities, we continue to expand and strengthen our global network, united in the promotion of Swedish business worldwide. Participants in the programme included:

Jakub Jankowski new CEO of Inter IKEA Group
After 20 years at IKEA – including leading the IKEA Franchisor from 2018 and CEO of Inter IKEA Group since 2020 – Jon Abrahamsson Ring is handing over to Jakub Jankowski, currently Managing Director for IKEA Industry. Jakub will step into the role as CEO of Inter IKEA Group on 1 January 2026.   Jon Abrahamsson Ring started his career at IKEA Örebro and has had leading positions in Canada, China, the Netherlands and Sweden, including assistant to IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad. “Big thanks to Jon for all his contributions to IKEA and for successfully leading the business through a period of global disruptions and big transformation. During his leadership, IKEA has become more affordable, accessible and sustainable. I have truly appreciated the cooperation with Jon, who always has the IKEA vision and values in the center”, says Anders Dahlvig, chairman of Inter IKEA Holding B.V. “I am happy and grateful for my long IKEA journey and proud of what we have accomplished together in this generation of IKEA.
