The Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce are pleased to invite you to a breakfast meeting with Cees Westera, Managing Partner at Public Matters, a public affairs agency based in The Hague and Brussels. Westera will provide an analysis of the results of the European elections from an economic and political perspective. What will be the consequences for international relations and the business climate in the Netherlands?

The second out of four Swedish Chamber of Commerce Business Women Program with MH Leadership took place April 16, 2019. The theme for this training “Overcome perfectionism – when is it good enough? Put a limit to your perfection and learn how to delegate.” A total of 17 business women from various companies related to the Swedish Chamber of Commerce participated and shared experiences and views of perfectionism and how to deal with this topic both in your professional and personal life.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting 2018

On Thursday April 11, 2019 The Annual General Meeting 2018 took place at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce premises at Epicenter Amsterdam. In the presence of Honorary Chairman H.E. Mrs. Annika Markovic three new Board Members were elected to join the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the coming years. The Chairman, Mr. Ehsan Turabaz thanked the leaving Board Members Mrs. Maria Karlström, Scania and Mr. Kees van Oosten, TeekensKarstens for their commitment and great contribution to the development of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce during their period in the Swedish Chamber Board.  The activity reports of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce 2018 were presented in the Annual Review 2018. The Embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, the Swedish Institute and Epicenter Amsterdam was proud to invite you to the Grand Opening of the photo exhibition Swedish Dads.

Thank you all for visiting the Grand Opening  Photo Exhibition of the world renown Swedish Dads by Johan Bävman. In the presence of the Ambassador of Sweden H.E Annika Markovic, the participants took part of an eventful afternoon/evening with inspirational talks by Johan Bävman, Marius van Regteren and Björn Atterstam about why dads matter, why equality is a good idea and how it changes society and relationships for the better.

Swedish Dads is a photo exhibition based on portraits of a select group of fathers who choose to stay home with their babies for at least six months. The photo exhibition Swedish Dads has been travelling to more than 50 countries all over the world. The exhibition portrays 25 fathers in Sweden and was showing at Epicenter Amsterdam from March 4 – March 9, 2019, as a joint collaboration between the Swedish Institute, the Swedish Embassy in the Hague, Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Amsterdam.

The Swedish Dads Exhibition and Grand opening was part of The Gender Game Changing Theme Week from March 4 – March 9, 2019.  There was daily lunch talks by inspiring and interesting speakers and Film Night.

THEME WEEK AT EPICENTER AMSTERDAM

On Wednesday March 6, 2019 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Amsterdam was very pleased to welcome José Woldring, Founder & CEO, The Media Nanny and ambassador of Making Moves in Music as our lunch speaker. José Woldring gave a very interesting talk about how The Media Nanny works and supports female DJ’s in the world and the idea behind Making Moves in Music – an initiative by Bumble to get more female DJ’s to the top.

José Woldring is the CEO and Founder of The Media Nanny, one of the most prominent PR agencies in the dance scene globally. Woldring is a Public Relations professional who helps artists and creative brands build an audience and craft their narrative through the press, new media and other platforms.

José recently launched an initiative with social platform Bumble named ‘Making Moves In Music’, of which she will also serve as aglobal ambassador. The initiative focuses on championing women in music by finding and supporting new electronic female talent.

On Tuesday March 5, 2019 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Amsterdam was very pleased to welcome Katja Berkhout, International Director at StartupDelta – TheNextSeaker – SXSW Pitch advisory board. Katja Berkhout gave a very interesting presentation about Startup Delta and how they are paving the way for startups at StartupDelta – she is responsible for scaling program and on a mission to connect Startup Delta with the world’s leading innovation hubs. She also talked about how women can have a larger role in creating success stories in business and technology, how to inspire female role models and how Startup Delta work with female startups and founders.

Katja Berkhout is an all-round executive with 14+ years of experience in international business advisory and economic development in Northern America and Europe. She is paving the way for startups at StartupDelta 3.0 – responsible for the scaling program and on a mission to connect our StartupDelta with the world’s leading innovation hubs.
