Elevate your international career at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands! The Swedish Chamber is proud to present two scholarships for ambitious candidates looking to join the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands from June 26, 2024, to June 19, 2025. The scholarships create opportunities for creative young talents to deepen their knowledge of international trade and business relations by working for a year at our dynamic office in Amsterdam. The Management Trainee position has consistently been a stepping stone for numerous successful alumni careers. Former trainees are currently working internationally in areas such as brand management, sustainability, and business development.
The following scholarship applications are now open:
- The School of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Gothenburg Scholarship. Application Deadline: January 15, 2024
- Gull & Stellan Ljungberg Foundation. Application Deadline: March 31, 2024

Opening Hours during the Christmas Holidays
As 2023 comes to a close, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce extends heartfelt thanks to our incredible members and partners for a year filled with engagement, valuable conversations, knowledge exchange and activities! Thank you for a lovely Lucia celebration!
The Young Professionals of the Swedish Chamber would like to say thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s Lucia Celebration at PR Lab. A special thanks to our collaborative partners, PRLab and Inter IKEA Systems. We also extend our appreciation to the Young Professionals committee, who shared reflections about the past year and thank you for your valuable work within our community.
We were delighted to enjoy Lucia songs performed by @swedishfestivitieschoir, and a Christmas poem by committee member Alexander Ljungström. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced with Swedish glögg and Christmas snacks, including gingerbread cookies sponsored by Inter IKEA Systems. International Interns & Trainees Day
Last week, the Swedish Chamber hosted a Nordic Intern and Trainee Day in Amsterdam. Interns and Trainees from the Nordic Embassies and Chambers joined us for an eventful afternoon at the Swedish Chamber office. We had the opportunity to get to know each other and our organizations better, all while enjoying a fika. During the fika, we engaged in an interesting discussion about business culture connected to the similarities and differences we as Nordic expats have experienced when moving to the Netherlands and starting to work in a new environment.
Thereafter, the group left the Swedish Chamber office to go to Amsterdam city center to go for a Stromma Pizza Cruise by the canal. The Swedish Chamber extends heartfelt gratitude to Swedish Chamber member Stromma for facilitating such a fantastic canal boat trip for us and the other Nordic Interns and Trainees.
Lastly, we also want to thank all the Nordic Interns and Trainees who participated in the Intern and Trainee Day at the Swedish Chamber! We look forward to welcoming you back to Amsterdam soon.
