Young Professionals want to thank everyone who joined our Boules evening in Amsterdam last night! The event brought together entrepreneurs, young professionals, committee members, international trainees, students, newcomers to the Netherlands, and a few of the Mentees for this year’s Mentorship Program. Together we shared a fun evening of networking, meeting new people and fun games. We are very proud of Young Professionals being such an open, engaged and dynamic community!

Meet our Mentor Charlotte Glassco
Meet Charlotte Glassco, our Mentor for the Swedish Chamber and Young Professionals Mentorship Program 2024! Charlotte has been working in the public affairs sector for nearly ten years. She started her career in Brussels, at the heart of EU policymaking where she worked across various policy areas including sustainability, human rights, consumer affairs and trade. Today, Charlotte is leading the global public affairs team at Inter IKEA Group, to support its mission to create a better everyday life for many people.
Charlotte is passionate about many aspects of her work today, including advocating on important topics, influencing regulatory affairs and engaging in public dialogue with stakeholders. Ultimately, she believes in the power of public affairs and communications to create positive change in society. As a born and raised Canadian, Charlotte has worked in several EU countries, learning how to stand out in an international crowd and persevere through the challenges of being a foreign national. Something that continues to serve her well in work and life.

Meet Eric de Munck, mentor for the Swedish Chamber and Young Professionals Mentorship Program 2024! Eric de Munck is an experienced entrepreneur in the healthcare sector with expertise in international business, particularly in Russia, India, Turkey, and Europe. As the owner of Vahlkamp International B.V. and EDM Holding, he demonstrates strong leadership and a keen focus on innovation. With a background in military education and a career spanning various sectors, including IT and healthcare systems, Eric is dedicated to driving growth and fostering international partnerships.
He is also deeply engaged in societal and philosophical discussions, contributing actively to organizations such as the Royal Industrial Great Club and the Atlantic Commission. Passionate about sustainability and holistic well-being, Eric balances his professional endeavours with interests in psychology, philosophy, people and society.

Meet our Mentor Björn Atterstam
Meet Björn Atterstam, Mentor for the Swedish Chamber and Young Professionals Mentorship Program 2024! Björn Atterstam is an educator, facilitator, and leadership expert. His work explores the human condition in the modern world - how we live, lead, and develop in an increasingly complex, uncertain, and interconnected world. He partners with well-known organizations to help challenge their thinking, evolve their assumptions, and improve when and where it matters.
Björn has held senior leadership positions with international management consultancies and corporations. Over the last thirty years, he has advised or trained thousands of leaders worldwide. In his last corporate role in London, he was responsible for developing talent, leadership, and culture at Prudential Plc, a highly regarded financial services group. Björn is also a researcher and faculty member at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He is responsible for the Personal Leadership Development (PLD) course for full-time and executive MBA students. His research interests reside in the intersection of psychological functioning and organizational performance.

Ben has been working within the global maritime industry for more than 40 years in various positions in Rotterdam as well as in Asia. The various jobs during his past career include positions like President Vopak Asia, CEO Smit International, CEO Noordzee Group, and CEO APMT Europe and Asia. During his career, he has been heading a number of reorganisations and restructurings. Presently, Ben is active as chairman and/or member of several Supervisory Boards as well as the Boards of Foundations.

Meet Swati Narwal, Mentor for the Swedish Chamber and Young Professionals Mentorship Program 2024! Swati has accumulated over 15 years of experience in IT, banking, and retail across multiple organizations and countries, including India, Sweden, and the Netherlands. She takes pride in her ability to pivot her career six times, constantly challenging herself and acquiring new skills both personally and professionally.
For the past 10.5 years, Swati has been dedicated to IKEA, focusing on organizational design, effectiveness, and the development of work methodologies. Additionally, she serves as an internal trainer and facilitator for leadership development programs within IKEA.
As an ICF-certified executive coach, Swati specializes in guiding senior leaders and their teams towards clarity and confidence in decision-making. Her passion for public speaking has led her to speak in various global forums and events on various topics. Previously, Swati also served as the Chairperson of the Young Professional Committee for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands.
