The Scholarship Foundation supports a young talent from the School of Business, Economics and, Law at the University of Gothenburg to gain international experience through joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands for a twelve-month period.

Required Qualifications
- This scholarship is only available for students at the School of Business, Economics and, Law at the University of Gothenburg
- You should be creative and entrepreneurial.
- You must have either; completed the second year at a selected bachelor’s program, be a master’s student at the University, or recently completed your studies within an approved program.
- Show strong oral and written communication skills, in Swedish and English.
Scholarship recipient 2024-2025
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome Justin Rundcrantz as a new Management Trainee at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands.
Justin recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics, specializing in Finance, from the School of Business, Economics and Law, at the University of Gothenburg. During his studies, Justin also participated in an exchange program at Queen’s University in Canada, where he studied geopolitics, derivative securities, and investment & portfolio management. This educational background has equipped him with a deep understanding of businesses, market dynamics and risk management.
Additionally, Justin has valuable experience working as a consultant in the Financial Control & Accounting department of a major automotive company. In this role, he created annual reports for their subsidiaries, showcasing his proficiency in financial analysis and reporting. Besides this, Justin has practical experience in working with customer service, product development and leadership.
Justin views this role as a unique opportunity to gain international experience alongside the talented team at the Swedish Chamber. His primary responsibilities will include member engagement and project leading the Young Professionals network. In the meantime, he looks forward to supporting the Swedish-Dutch business network.

Scholarship recipient 2023-2024
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome Emma Wergeland as a new Management Trainee at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.
Emma has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics with a specialization in Management from Uppsala University. Recently she received her Master’s Degree in Management and Business Development from The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. On a master level, she has studied courses such as Innovation, Strategy and Change Management. When she was younger, Emma also studied for two years in London, United Kingdom.
During her studies, Emma was active in extracurricular activities, including working as a mentor for new students at the University. In addition, she also worked as a customer advisor at a bank. During her master’s studies, she worked as an intern, and her primary area of responsibility was to increase employee engagement. She also contributed to updating the company’s strategy and wrote a Master’s thesis about the company’s organizational culture in the growth phase.
Emma is thrilled to have the unique opportunity to acquire international experience at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and is looking forward to developing her management and strategy skills. She is excited to join the great team and aims to support the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and its members. Emma’s primary areas will be Member strategy and Member engagement and Finance and Administration. She will also be the Project Manager for the Young Professionals network.

Scholarship recipient 2022-2023
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to have Ellen Olofsson as a Management Trainee at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands.
Ellen Olofsson has a double bachelor’s degree in Social Environmental Science and Business and Economics, specializing in Corporate Sustainability. She studied at The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. In 2021, Ellen and her thesis colleague were awarded the Bachelor Thesis Price within the field of commerce.
During her time at the university, she also took part in extracurricular activities, participating as a board member for her study program. As a final part of her education, Ellen had the opportunity to enroll as an exchange student at the University of the Basque Country, in Bilbao, Spain.
Ellen is pleased to have gained practical knowledge and insight, alongside her university studies, while working in different international companies during the past five years.
Ellen views the traineeship at the Swedish Chambers of Commerce as a fantastic opportunity to learn more about and develop her skills in international business relations.
She is thrilled to be part of the team in Amsterdam this year. Ellen’s areas of responsibility are Members, Events, and the Young Professionals. She views her varying role as excitedly challenging
where she learns something new every day. She believes it is fun and developing to get the opportunity to share her own ideas and to have freedom with responsibility, of course with support from the team. She appreciates and resonates with the organizations core, having the intention to contribute with value for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and its members.
