THE APPLICATION FOR THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM 2023-2024 OPENS ON JUNE 19, 2023

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Mentorship Program offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to benefit from an exclusive eight-month program. The program is filled with group workshops, digital meet-ups, and individual mentoring with mentors that are experienced and successful senior industry professionals from across the Swedish-Dutch business community.

The benefits for both mentors and mentees are unparalleled. For Mentors, it is a great chance to learn and get insights from the next generation and to help them flourish. For Mentees, the program offers great opportunities to grow both personally and professionally and to meet and network with peers and business leaders. The Program strives to provide all participants with the opportunity to grow in their careers and enrich their personal development by exchanging experiences, views, and knowledge. By utilizing the Chamber’s extensive network of international business leaders, the program offers Young Professionals a unique Mentor experience. When participating in this program, both Mentors and Mentees experience great learning and networking opportunities, where long-lasting connections may be built.

The Program

• 8-month program running from October 4,  2023-May 30, 2024
• 5 joint group live workshops; including drinks, snacks and workshop material.
• 3 digital reflective meet-ups
• Certification Ceremony Dinner
• One-to-one individual mentoring sessions with Mentee-Mentor

The live workshops – 2,5 hour session

• Drinks, snacks, and mingle
• Inspirational speakers present a topic such as: navigating in a world of change, post-pandemic business culture, personal development, leadership, and mindfulness and recovery.
• Interactive discussions and reflections on the topics
• Individual one-on-one meetings with the Mentor-Mentee pairs
• The location for the live workshops is in Amsterdam, either at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce or at a venue by a sponsoring company.

The digital meet-ups – 1-hour sessions

• Three Mentor-Mentee pairs share a topic with the group, that they have engaged in during the last month. The group then reflects together, enabling inspiration and ideas from each other.

Certification Ceremony Dinner

• On the final date of the Mentorship Program 2023-2024, there will be a Certification Ceremony Dinner. During this celebratory evening, the participants will get their certificates and the group will have a dinner together.

• As a Mentor you benefit by meeting up with the new generation leaders of the future and learning more about their insights and values.
  
  Program Criteria for Mentee Applicants:

• You are a Young Professional member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce
• You, ideally, work at a member company of the Swedish Chamber that supports you in this experience
• You have a Swedish – Dutch connection
• You have, ideally, 3-4 years of experience in your career

Program Criteria for Mentor Applicants:

• You are a member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce
• You have leadership experience

• You have a Swedish – Dutch connection
• You have a senior role
• You have an interest in helping and learning from the next generation

Participants fee:

• The participation fee for the Mentorship Program 2023/2024 is 200 euros p.p. excl VAT for Mentees and Mentors.

Exclusive Corporate Offer: Participation and company sponsoring

We offer Swedish Chamber Member Companies exclusively to become sponsors of the Mentorship Program 2023/2024. As a Company Sponsor you get:

• Participation of one Young Professional employee (up until 36 years) to take part in this program.
• Participation of one Mentor from your company to take part in the program (pls note, as a Mentor you will not be mentoring a Mentee from your company)
• As a sponsor company, you are also supporting 3 students to take part in the program for a reduced fee
• As a sponsor, your company logo will be visible on the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals website and in all marketing material for the Mentorship Program 2023-2024
• All Mentors and sponsor companies will be presented individually on our website and in our social media channels and Newsletter.
• As a sponsor, you are welcome to host one of the Mentorship Program sessions and/or give a presentation about your company.

Scholarship

• If you are a student, you have the possibility to apply for a scholarship worth 50% of the participation fee, and you will be able to participate for 100 Euros*
• If you as a student would like to apply as a mentee, please send a motivational letter stating why you wish to take part in the Mentorship Program, when you send in your application to yp@swedishchamber.nl

*3 scholarship places are available.

1. October 4, 2023
   Start of the Swedish Chamber Mentorship Program. 2,5 hours
   Live Event. Theme: A Changing working environment through innovation and tech
   Exclusive coaching Mentees and Mentors, Inspirational Speakers, and first 1-1 Mentor/Mentee meeting.
2. November 14, 2023 – Digital Meeting.
   1 hour. 2-3 pairs present on a topic they are engaging in at the moment
3. December 7, 2023
   Live Event. Theme: Leadership and Business Culture
   Inspirational speaker and 1-1 Meetings. 2,5 hours
4. January 25, 2024
   Live Event. ESG/Sustainability
   Inspirational speaker and 1-1 Meetings. 2,5 hours
5. February 20^th
   Digital Meeting. 1 hour. 2-3 pairs present on a topic they are engaging in at the moment
6. March  21, 2023
   Live Event. Theme: Mindfulness
   Inspirational speaker and 1-1 Meetings. 2,5 hours
7. April 23 – Digital Meeting. 1 hour. 2-3 pairs present on a topic they are engaging in at the moment
8. May 30, 2023
   Live Event with Dinner, takeaways, evaluation, certificate ceremony

About the Swedish Chamber Mentorship Programme

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals Mentorship Program was launched in October 2012. Since then, more than 100 Young Professionals of the Swedish Chamber have followed the program and benefited for their future personal and professional growth. The many Mentors have benefited to meet the new generation leaders of the future and to learn more about their insights and values.

The Mentorship Program is made possible by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with AIMS International Netherlands B.V. , member of AIMS International.
