The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Committees strengthens the business network and makes sure the Chamber is future-proof and fit for purpose.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its Doughnut strategy by presenting the Swedish Chamber Committees. With this strategy, the Chamber aims to future-proofing the Swedish Chamber by empowering its purpose and targets and making sure its governance and structure is fit for purpose. The Swedish Chamber Committees is a confirmation of the diversity and strength of the Swedish – Dutch business community. The committee members are prominent and engaged business professionals representing a variety of sectors complementing the already strong composition of the board.

With the Committees, the Chamber aims to increase the involvement of its members and to make use of the shared intellectual intelligence of its member companies. By inviting member companies to join the various committees, it enables member companies to be involved in the work of featuring the Chamber’s focus areas and to team up with likeminded members in our community for a common purpose. Moreover, it creates a broader ecosystem that delivers more commitment. The Committees will help the Chamber to become stronger on our focus areas together, which correlates with our aim to offer member value for all members. It will also give broad access to experts within the different focus areas of the Chamber and short lines to expert speakers.

The Swedish Chamber’s Committee Doughnut Strategy is intended solely for viewing purposes and may not used for commercial activities. 

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee outlines the work and decisions for the Board and supports the General Manager of the Chamber. The Chairman of the Chamber heads the Committee.

The Finance Committee

The Finance Committee oversees the financial administration of the Chamber, including the budget setting on behalf of the Board. The Committee recommends the financial accounts to the Executive Committee and the Board.

The Patron and Member Committee

The Patron and Member Committee develops member strategies, including the acquisition of new members and new Patron Companies. The Committee also develops the membership offer for attracting and retaining member companies.

The Young Professionals Committee

The Young Professionals (YP) Committee outlines the work and activities, as well as member acquisition and communication for the Young Professionals of the Chamber. It is a sub-organization to the Chamber, that gathers Young Professionals with an interest for the Swedish-Dutch business community. The Chairman reports to the Chamber’s Board of Directors at the regular board meetings.

Branding and Marketing Committee

The Branding and Marketing Committee supports the Chamber with a branding framework for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce — who we are, what we do, and why companies should join this Swedish-Dutch business network. The committee further supports the Swedish Chamber with its marketing and communication strategies, building on the chamber’s values and the Swedish brand name.

The Innovation and Tech Committee assists the Chamber with insights into emerging technologies, working towards enhancing current tech initiatives and introducing new events, round tables, and innovation programs for startups, scaleups, investors, and multinational corporations. By leveraging our shared strengths, we can promote collaboration, exchange knowledge, and foster the development of innovative technologies that contribute to a sustainable future.
