As of January 2025, one of our valued members, Issuemakers: Rud Pedersen Group, has undergone a leadership transition in their Netherlands office. Marije Laffeber has stepped into the role of Managing Director, succeeding founders Sybrig Van Keep and Mayke van Keep. Marije, Sybrig and Mayke will work closely together for the first part of the year to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of the strategic direction.
Marije brings over 25 years of experience in communication, politics, and strategic advice, including key leadership roles such as Deputy Secretary-General of the Party of European Socialists and International Secretary and Vice Chair for European Affairs of the Dutch Labour Party. Under Marije’s leadership, Issuemakers will continue helping clients elaborate their social and political impact while addressing societal challenges.
Marije shared her enthusiasm, stating: “The past year at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs was a great experience. I look forward to continue working with a fantastic team in Amsterdam on strategic communication, campaigns, public affairs and agenda setting around societal issues in the Netherlands, Brussels and with more than 650 RP colleagues in 20 other offices in Europe!”
Founders Sybrig and Mayke expressed their confidence in Marije’s appointment, highlighting her expertise as a valuable asset for the agency’s future. Rud Pedersen Group CEO Morten Rud Pedersen also praised Marije’s leadership as key to expanding Issuemakers’ influence in today’s market.
