Walter Kadnar will assume the role of CEO and CSO of IKEA Netherlands, effective 1 September 2025.
Currently serving as CEO and CSO of IKEA Germany, Austrian-born Kadnar brings decades of experience to the Dutch market, having begun his journey with IKEA in 1988 and held numerous leadership positions across the organisation.
In his own words:
“With 47 years of IKEA in the Netherlands, I feel honoured to join the Dutch team. I feel connected to the Dutch entrepreneurial spirit and discovering different cultures and markets appeals to me enormously. That is why I am looking forward to working in this role in the Netherlands. IKEA is always about people and their ideas. My first priority is to meet as many colleagues as possible, because I am convinced that leadership means enabling others to grow.”
