The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands is currently seeking three International Management Trainees for the period June 25, 2025 – June 19, 2026.
As an International Management Trainee, you will actively participate in the work of the Chamber for one year. Your role will involve engaging in networking and business development activities, as well as seminars and numerous annual events hosted by the Chamber.
Responsibilities as a Management Trainee will include work in one of the following areas:
- Events
- Business Development
- Member Engagement
- Young Professionals
- Marketing
Criteria:
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish
- Recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a Swedish university or institution of higher education
- Swedish citizenship and under the age of 30
Details:
The traineeship begins on June 25, 2025, and lasts for 12 months at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The application deadline for the 2025/2026 traineeship is March 2, 2025, and recruitment will be conducted on a rolling basis.

International Business Experience
Being a trainee at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands gives you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in an international business environment. You’ll gain invaluable insights into the Dutch market—a strategically important hub for Swedish companies known for its advanced digitalization, technology, innovation, and sustainability.
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to network with influential business leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry experts, opening doors to further international opportunities and career prospects.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an International Management Trainee, you will actively participate in various activities at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for 12 months. You will be involved in contact-making, business promotion activities and seminars, not least through the Swedish Chamber’s 40+ events.
You will primarily focus your efforts on one of the following areas, while working in close collaboration with fellow trainees across the other functions:

Members & Young Professionals
Marketing & Communication
Qualifications and Application
Most scholarships require that applicants must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s program at a Swedish university. If you do not meet these criteria, undertaking a six-month internship may be an alternative for you.
Additionally, it is essential to demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. The application period typically runs from January to March.
