Welcome to a presentation of the Dutch Government’s Budget for 2023 & the main tax topics, a digital event organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with KPMG Meijburg & Co.

 

On Tuesday 20 September the Dutch government will present their budget for 2023. Following the high inflation figures, we expect that the government will announce measures to compensate citizens as well as companies. However, eventually somebody will have to pay the bill – now or in the near future. This will have an impact on the tax measures that will be presented. During a 45 minutes presentation, Jan Hollemans and Tijs van Ruitenbeek will explain and discuss the budget proposal and highlight the main tax topics.

 

This is a Member-by-Member Event organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce together with a member company who is sharing their expertise and valid business updates with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce community.

Tijs van Ruitenbeek
Senior Manager at KPMG Meijburg & Co. Tijs is a senior tax manager in KPMG Meijburg & Co’s corporate income tax practice. He works in the Eindhoven office. He joined KPMG Meijburg & Co in 2015 and has extensive experience in advising internationally operating businesses, in particular in the retail and manufacturing industry. He advises medium-sized and large multinational companies on corporate income tax, withholding tax and international tax law. As a member of KPMG Meijburg & Co’s Nordics desk, Tijs works closely together with the local KPMG teams. In this respect, he has been seconded to KPMG Copenhagen in 2018. With his experience and focus on the Scandinavian market, Tijs advises multiple Swedish companies. Specialization: • Corporate income tax, in particular, Dutch R&D incentives • International tax law • Nordics • Germany
Jan Hollemans
Senior Manager at KPMG Meijburg & Co. Jan is a senior tax manager in KPMG Meijburg & Co’s corporate income tax practice / tax compliance services. He works in the Rotterdam and Amstelveen office. He joined KPMG Meijburg & Co in 1991 and has extensive experience in advising internationally operating businesses, in particular in the food business and telecom industry. He works for multinational companies (amongst others in the US, UK and the Scandinavian countries) on corporate income tax (tax accounting and tax compliance). Jan is member of the Nordics desk with a strong focus on Sweden. He is KPMG Meijburg’s contact person regarding the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Dutch Chamber in Stockholm.
