TechBridge Sweden/The Netherlands is a concept initiated by the Swedish Embassy in The Netherlands, Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Amsterdam with the ambition to increase the knowledge about Sweden and The Netherlands as two world-leading nations when it comes to technological innovation. The objective is to build strategic partnerships between the parties in a dynamic forum where the message about our innovative countries is conveyed through shared experiences and best practices.

This first edition of TechBridge Sweden/The Netherlands is highlighting the potentials of “Women in Tech”. This edition of TechBridge has been designed to inspire, celebrate and connect Women in Tech. We will deep dive into what the challenges are for Women in Tech, what we can learn from each other, how we can encourage more girls to choose technology studies and how we change the patterns of investors.

TechBridge Sweden – The Netherlands is a concept initiated by the Swedish Embassy in The Netherlands, Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Amsterdam with the ambition to increase the knowledge about Sweden and The Netherlands as two world-leading nations when it comes to technological innovation. The objective is to build strategic partnerships between the parties in a dynamic forum where the message about our innovative countries is conveyed through shared experiences and best practices.  The target group is prominent Dutch and Swedish investors, decision-makers, academia, and media.

 

This first edition of TechBridge Sweden – The Netherlands is highlighting the potentials of “Women in Tech” and will be a pre-event to the European Women Technology Conference in Amsterdam taking place on November 26-27th, 2019. This edition of TechBridge has been designed to inspire, celebrate and connect Women in Tech. We will deep dive into what the challenges are for Women in Tech, what we can learn from each other, how we can encourage more girls to choose technology studies and how we change the patterns of investors.

 

Sweden and the Netherlands have traditionally very strong trade relations and in recent years the tech industry has impacted the bilateral bond even more and the traffic is high. Both Amsterdam and Stockholm are widely described as the tech start-up capitals and rank high in most internationally recognized lists of competitiveness and innovation capacity.

Annika Markovic
Sweden´s Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW and the ICC. Was the permanent representative to OECD and UNESCO. Represented Sweden on the board of these two international organizations. Also chaired the OECD Audit Committee as well as the working group on relations with Brazil and the Eurasia Roundtable. Vice-Chair of the Board of Unesco. Used to work as the Environment Ambassador at the Ministry of the Environment as well as the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm in charge of international/multilateral negotiations in the field of environment and sustainable development. Also worked with Sweden´s strategic bilateral co-operation with countries such as China, India, Russia and Brazil. Previous postings abroad includes Sweden's Ambassador to Brazil and Ambassador of Sweden to the Philippines as well as four years at the Swedish Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Tamara Obrodov
Partner at Tablomonto - Tamara’s expertise lies within e-commerce, digital media and onmi-channel marketing. After graduation she worked for 10 years as project leader and consultant with leading companies such as Procter & Gamble, Reuters, Heineken and Booz & Company.
John Dekker
Innovation Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sweden - Our goal is to promote relations between The Netherlands and Sweden through knowledge acquisition & transfer, creation of networks and promotion of knowledge-intensive collaborations between companies, universities and research institutes.
Anna Gandal
Anna Gandal is Head of Mechanical Systems & Stirling AIP in the Research & Development organization at Saab Kockums. Mrs Gandal has earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Luleå University in Sweden. Her technical field of expertize is in mechanical systems engineering and working experience encompasses also Airborne and Mining equipment. Mrs Gandal has held various leading R&D positions, most notably in Chief Engineering at Saab Aircraft, Sweden, Program Management at Airbus Industries in Toulouse, France and is currently a member of the R&D Management Team of Saab Kockums.
Anne Håkansson
Senior Lecturer at The Royal Institute of Technology and Director of studies for Bachelor and Master Degree projects. Professor in Computer Science, with focus on Artificial Intelligence.
Nicole Henning
COO at School of Applied Technology
Yvette van Eechoud
Yvette van Eechoud was appointed Director of European and International Affairs at the Ministry of Economic Affairs from 1 September 2016. Drs. Y. (Yvette) van Eechoud has been an ambassador to Qatar since 2013, where she was responsible for the wider bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Qatar, in particular in the economic and political fields. Before that, she was head of Economic and Development Cooperation at the Dutch embassy in Egypt. In addition to promoting trade and investment, she was responsible for water, public administration and human rights programs. Yvette van Eechoud was previously the private secretary of (then) HKH Princess Máxima of the Netherlands. She studied European Studies at the University of Amsterdam
