Chamber Luncheon May 14, 2018 hosted at Chamber member Courtyard Amsterdam Arena Atlas Hotel

In the heart of Amsterdam Zuid-Oost, located next to the corporate offices of Vattenfall, Nuon, Adidas and many more and right next to the entertainment district of Amsterdam and station Bijlmer Arena you’ll find the Courtyard Amsterdam Arena Atlas hotel.

  A 175-bedrooms hotel with meeting facilities and restaurant. Built and opened in June 2015 by Belvar, which is a hotel management and development company currently operating Marriott hotels under franchise agreement. The hotel has a Scandinavian look and feel due to the Scandinavian roots of Belvar. We are very proud of our own restaurant brand concept: GåRD Nordic Kitchen. The design is based on an old farmhouse located in Mönsterås, Sweden. The interior, the furniture and fireplaces create the homely atmosphere inside GåRD. We serve a menu inspired by the Nordic kitchen and created by formerly Michelin star Nordic chef Willy Solvang. Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy one of the famous flatbreads, a smørrebrød or one of Willy’s signature dishes. Welcome New Member Lindmark Legal

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to welcome Stina Lindmark for Lindmark Legal as new member.

After a large number of years as an employee in various legal settings, I recently decided to try my wings as an entrepreneur. My unique selling point is also my passion: the combination of Swedish roots & language and Dutch law. Over the past years, I have discovered that when working with parties that are somehow related to Sweden, I tend to work with a smile on my face. I am proud of being Swedish and at the same time I enjoy living in the Netherlands and practising Dutch law. So this is what I have decided to invest my time and energy in. Hence: Lindmark Legal! Obviously, I will continue providing my clients with Dutch legal advice, mainly in the field of corporate and business law. Assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions and drafting and assessing contracts is what I do best, from a legal perspective. But next to that, I would like to provide that little extra that clients can gain from my language skills and my experience with doing business between Sweden and the Netherlands. Swedish clients entering the Dutch market by start-up, acquisition, distribution relationship or otherwise. Or Dutch clients doing business in Sweden or with Swedes. Both type of client can gain from my language skills (I am fluent in Swedish, Dutch and English) and the fact that I know my way around both the Swedish and the Dutch business culture. Also, my netwerk in both Sweden and the Netherlands can be put to use for my clients. My working experience within a tax-firm, a management providing company (trust company) and law-firms has left me with a vast network of specialists in various fields. My aim is to, like the Öresund bridge connects Sweden with mainland Europe, make the connection between Sweden and the Netherlands that you need to optimise your business. Jan Sundelin, CEO Tie Kinetix new candidate for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are very pleased to nominate Jan Sundelin as new Board Member candidate to be elected at the Swedish Chamber of Commerc Annual General Meeting April 12, 2018.

Jan Sundelin is CEO of TIE Kinetix a software IT company out of the Netherlands with office in Europe, USA and Asia. Jan has lived and work in USA and Europe. Before TIE Kinetix he was CEO and president of TallyGenicom EMEA with was head quarter in ULM Germany. Previously to Jan served as senior vice president for Minolta-QMS Mobile Alabama a company he joined in 1989.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Internship 2018 is now open for applications!

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce provides a dynamic networking platform to promote commercial and industrial relations between Dutch and Swedish individuals and businesses. During the summer of 2018 we offer an internship to a motivated and dedicated student who is at the end of his or her education.

The internship includes:
  • A wide range of work assignments such as communication & social media, event planning and administrative tasks
  • Assist in program planning and execution of the Chamber’s and the Young Professionals’ events
  • Develop and implement the Chamber’s communication strategy
General terms
  • Swedish citizenship
  • The intern must be registered as a student at a Swedish university
  • If the internship is not included in the student’s study program, the institution should verify that the internship is relevant to the student’s education
  • The intern must be insured
  • No compensation will be issued for the internship period and the intern is expected to find his or her own accommodation
