Swe-Cham Patron Member Vattenfall receives top marks for its sustainability performance for the third time
For the third time in a row, Vattenfall’s sustainability performance receives the highest rating – platinum –from EcoVadis, a leader in sustainability assessments. With a score of 85 out of a 100, Vattenfall remains in the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in the electricity, gas & steam category.
With over 100.000 companies reviewed, EcoVadis is one of the world's most trusted business sustainability rating agencies.. The review focuses on four areas: environment, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
"To be recognized for a third time by EcoVadis as an industry leader is very gratifying and a testament to our commitment throughout the value chain. It is the result of hard work and shows that Vattenfall’s employees understand how important sustainability is for the business. I especially want to highlight that we, for the second time, received full points for Environment, which is impressive as the bar was raised with additional focus on circularity ," says Annika Ramsköld, Head of Sustainability at Vattenfall.

Welcome New Honorary Consul Heleen van Balen
On May 24, 2023 the new Honorary Consul Heleen van Balen was installed during a festive opening of the new Honorary Consulate, located in the International Welcome Center North - IWCN.
The consulate is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00-12:00.

As Director Nextleap & Governmental Affairs, Myrthe focuses on the Future of Dutch Tech, connecting partners to the challenges of founders and organizing an environment for co-creative solution development. This is with the aim to build a competitive ecosystem that empowers (repeated) the success of Dutch leaders in Tech. In the previous Techleap.nl & StartupDelta years, Myrthe led the Policy & Government Affairs team and later on the Community area. Myrthe has broad experience working with entrepreneurs from previous roles as an innovation advisor within the Human Health Sector and as an account manager for funding issues for entrepreneurs. Myrthe also worked as a policy advisor at the Ministry of Economic Affairs where she became an advocate for flexible and empowering policies to help innovative companies start, fund, and grow their business. Her passion is to accelerate sustainable impact by connecting frontrunners. She sees it as her challenge to do this in an inclusive way.

Last session of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Mentorship Program 2022-2023
We would like to give a big thank you to all Mentors and Mentees of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Mentorship Program 2022/2023 for their great contributions and for making the program to a great success together. On May 30, 2023 we had our final session, and we would like to thank the participants in this session for their great input and evaluation. A special thanks to Hendrik Jan Guitink for his excellent and inspiring leadership of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Mentorship Program. We are very grateful for the pleasant collaboration and to have his professional guidance and we are super excited to welcome him back the for next Mentorship Program series this fall. Yesterday, the participants of this year received their certificates and we wished them all lots of success. We would like to thank Nils van Dijkman for hosting our last session for this program and for a very pleasant evening at Heussen. Also, thanks to Marianne Hamilton for giving a presentation on her book “Advice to my dear daughter” and some very exciting discussion topics.
