Northern Delight is a Utrecht based catering company specializing in the Scandinavian cuisine in general and specifically the Swedish cuisine. The company was established in 2013 by Swedish native Ingrid Geel Nilsson. As “the Swedish Chef” Ingrid and her company brings a piece of culinary Scandinavia to the Netherlands.
Experience the Swedish fika-tradition (coffee with one or many sweet treats) with for example Swedish cinnamon buns and Princess cake. Order a smörgåstårta, a savoury layered sandwich tart with delicious fillings, for a special occasion. Enjoy a three course Midsummer meal with a cured haring tasting. Treat your company or family to a extended (Christmas) buffet with all the Swedish traditional dishes such as cured salmon, roast beef of moose fillet, Swedish meatballs, Janssons temptation and so much more. The options are many. Danish pastries (wienerbrød) and the Danish/Norwegian “kransekage” are also part of the options.
Northern Delight provides a full catering concept, everything from food to drinks, waiting staff, hardware facilities, project management etc.
Are you curious to get some hands on experience with the Swedish kitchen? Then sign up for a cooking class with Northern Delight. In general there are six cooking classes per year open for private registration, three in the spring and three in the autumn. You can also request cooking classes for groups, for example for a corporate event.
