The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Women Business Program September 15, 2020

Health and Self-care

Webinar 15.30 – 17.00

Self-care is important to our physical, mental and emotional well-being. The daily responsibilities of working, running a business, dealing with people, and living day to day and find time to spend with our loved ones slowly wears us down. This is why it important to take steps to protect our overall well-being.

Self-care doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming. Little things like finding time for enjoying your morning cup of coffee in peace, find time for a daily exercise, however small, or to find a morning routine that works for you can be part of your self-care habit. You just need to have the right mindset and know the basics of a stable and effective self-care routine. Physical health is the foundation of self-care, it is also the easiest to start on. Having a fit and healthy body and mind leads to a more positive attitude and a happier disposition.  It will affect the way you work and the way you are dealing with your daily obligations both professional and in your private life.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Women Business Program in collaboration with Malin Hedlund, MH Leadership will provide the tools and guidance for you to start your self-care routines and to hold on to them to increase your inspiration and energy for your everyday life.

“In my experience coming together in a group with likeminded people increases the inspiration and motivation to take the action steps needed to start your self-care routines and get positive results”

Malin Hedlund, MH Leadership

Dutch and Swedes are made for each other.

A member exclusive webinar.

On June 4, 2020 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Sweden hosted a joint webinar “Dutch and Swedes are made for each other” with the Swedish Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E. Annika Markovic and the Dutch Ambassador to Sweden, H.E. Ines Coppoolse. The Ambassadors shared their insights and reflections on respective country and in interactive discussions with the participants via breakout sessions, the opportunities for continued excellent bilateral (trade) relations were discussed and the role embassies can play to support business in the 21st Century. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Ambassadors for their valuable contributions to the dialog, Ruben Brunsveld for professional moderation of this webinar, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Sweden for the excellent collaboration and last but not least, the participants for their input and ideas. We are looking forward to continue the discussions together.

Key takeaways from the Moderator Ruben Brunsveld:

  • The Swedes and Dutch tend to find each other quickly and are generally a good match
  • There are underlying cultural differences that arise once we start doing business together
  • Despite the fact that many (larger) companies find there own way the Embassies are still seen as important partners for companies when doing business abroad
  • Embassies can help businesses by facilitating platforms to develop more sustainable businesses to transition to more sustainable and innovative economies Post COVID
  • The Netherlands hopes that Sweden will deepen its relations both bilaterally and multilaterally in different international for a, such as NATO and EMU
  • From the Swedish perspective the topic of gender diversity and women empowerment is one where there is more field to gain.
  • The Embassies emphasized that their doors are always open for businesses (small and large) to come in and also give feedback on their needs.
  • The Embassies seem to lack in their communication on everything they doing and can be more effective in reaching out to their business communities.

The Dutch and Swedish Chambers of Commerce would like to invite you to a member exclusive webinar, where Ambassador for the Netherlands in Sweden Mrs. Ines Coppoolse and Ambassador for Sweden in the Netherlands Mrs. Annika Markovic will share their insights and reflect on their time in their respective country.
Many successful collaborations has taken place during their years by the Embassies and the Chambers in the fields of Women in Tech, Sustainability and the Startup sector to name a few. Trade-wise, both countries are investing around Euro 10 billion annually in each others markets and the Netherlands is the number 2 most important country to Sweden when it comes to import.
