During this workshop we will focus on the International Business Culture we are active in and how we can develop our networking skills.

February 6 was the very successful Mentorship Program Meet Up III with the topic ‘International Business Culture and Networking Skills’. Thank you all for interesting discussions and thank you Wilma and Mercuri Urval!

We are welcoming you to the fourth and last session of the Mentorship program 2017/2018 April 24.  We will reflect on what we have learned, what changes have taken place and the lessons we learned for the future. Also, we will have a Q&A with the group on how to apply for new jobs, how to grow, and, do’s and don’ts in your professional life  Hope to see you there!

On Thursday 25 January 2018, KPMG Meijburg will host a tax seminar for members of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Danish Dutch Business Club. We will explain and discuss the Tax Plan 2018 and the consequences for the business climate in the Netherlands as a result of the of the government agreement. We will also briefly discuss the current public discussion and the (mis)understanding of the Dutch ruling practice. After the meeting there will be opportunity to network while drinks and snacks will be served. Welcome!

On December 15, 2017 the Annual Swedish Chamber of Commerce Lucia Dinner and Dance took place at Hotel van Oranje, Noordwijk.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Master of Ceremony Ruben Brunsveld for his excellent guiding during the evening taking the guests and participants through the snaps songs to the more serious parts as the Swedish Chamer Export Prize Award Ceremony 2017.

 

Welcome to read more about the winners and the ceremony furhter below on this website. We were very happy to welcome Anne-Lie Persson who preformed with a few of her own songs and a few well-known Cornelius Vreeswijk numbers and later in the evening she and her band Stockholm Tivoli provided grand dance music for everyone who wanted to hit the dance floor.

We would like to thank all sponsors who made this evening to a great success for contributing to the exclusive Goodie Bag to all our guests and to the generous contribution to the Lucia Raffle for the benefit of
War Child. We would also like to thank La Cuisine Scandinave for there excellent Swedish Julbord with everything you can think of from the herring to the meatballs and Swedish Christmas ham!

Over the years the traditional Swedish Chamber Lucia Dinner has become one of our most attended events and is, for many, the highlight of the Swedish Chamber social calendar. Over the years, it has attracted thousands of senior businessmen and women to gather and socialize in a festive spirit. The evening offers, apart from including a traditional Lucia Choir and Swedish ‘julbord’, also first-class entertainment, great company, and fantastic networking opportunities. It was, without a doubt, an event to remember and we hope to welcome all our members back for next year!

Swedish Chamber Export Prize Ceremony 2017

Klarna B.V. and Daloc Nederland received the Swedish Chamber Export Prize 2017 and the
Swedish Chamber Newcomer Export Prize 2017 from H.E. Ambassador of Sweden Mr.  Per Holmström.
The Swedish Chamber Export Prize is a collaboration between the Swedish Chamber of Commerce,
Swedish Embassy and Business Sweden. Swedish Chamber Export Prize was awarded to Klarna and
Swedish Chamber Newcomer Export Prize was awarded to Daloc.

Grand Christmas Raffle for the benefit of War Child!

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Lucia Raffle for the benefit of War Child raised more than 1000 Euros for
their good work with was later anonymously doubled by one of the participating companies!  The Swedish Chamber

On 13 December, The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce organized a joint event together with 10 international Chambers of Commerce and organizations in the Netherlands, including the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the new coalition agreement and its impact on business.

 

Alongside a summary of the strategy of the new Dutch Government – Rutte III – experts highlighted the impact of the government agreement. During a three-hour seminar, views from both the public and private sector was shared by experts from VNO-NCW, KPMG Meijburg & Co, Allen & Overy and ING Bank

We will work with the core quadrant methodology and use your core competencies and strengths from The Strenght Finder to make the exercise practical and personalized.

The theme for this seminar is My Business Network – Team up with my peers. Having a fruitful and rewarding network is key in today’s business environment. We need to develop our skills when it comes to building our network and learn how to use our network and optimize it. Questions will be raised about creating mastermind groups within our network, in order to reach our goals more efficiently and with more joy.

About the program

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce exclusive Business Woman Program 2017 presents four seminars for the empowering and support of woman business leaders. The seminars are designed to increase and sharpen your leadership skills and to help yourself to a higher level of efficiency, awareness, and success. Moderator is Malin Hedlund, MH Leadership. We welcome the women from the Swedish Chamber, Young Professionals of the Swedish Chamber and their relations with a focus to expand leadership intelligence and strengthen the inner power. You can follow any number of seminars you prefer. If you attend all four, the Swedish Chamber will offer you the last one for free!

On Thursday, November 9, the Swedish Chamber, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in the Hague and Public Matters, invited our members to listen to an update on the Dutch politics. It was a great opportunity to ask questions and gather insight from the expert, Cees Westera, Public Matters.
