“Mastering Leadership for the Future – Program kick-off”

 

We were thrilled to kick off the Swedish Chamber and Young Professionals Mentorship Program 2024 last week, together with the nine skilled Mentorship Program pairs joining the journey! The event started with an introduction by Mentorship Coach Hendrik Jan Guitink, leading the way with insightful guidelines. Mentees and Mentors were then divided into breakout sessions to map out personal goals and expectations, guided by former Mentee and YP Committee Member Malin Petrocchi, as well as Hendrik Jan. This was followed by the big reveal of Mentor-Mentee matches, after which the pairs had their first one-on-one chats to kickstart their mentoring journey.

 

Looking ahead, we are extending an open invitation to the Mentorship keynote lectures to all YP members, and welcome you to join these inspirational presentations and discussions. Seating is limited, so secure your spot today! Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come:

About the Swedish Chamber Mentorship Programme
The Mentorship Program was launched in October 2012. Since then, more than 100 Young Professionals of the Swedish Chamber have followed the program and benefited from their future personal and professional growth. The many Mentors have benefited from meeting the new generation leaders of the future and learning more about their insights and values. The Mentorship Program is made possible by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with AIMS International Netherlands B.V., a member of AIMS International. Read more here.

 

Henrik Jan Guitink
“My name is Hendrik Jan Guitink, I am the Managing Partner of AIMS International Netherlands B.V., member of AIMS International, a global leader in Executive Search and Leadership Consulting with offices in over 50 countries. We Find&Grow Your Leaders. Within our Talent Management Practice, coaching and mentoring are two aspects that we specialize in as part of Leadership Development Programs or for individual cases. Having been a Mentor within this program for the past 2 years and being a professional business coach and trainer, I am very excited to take on the challenge. As Mentor, I have had the privilege to partner with 2 very bright and ambitious young professionals. I think I can say that both the mentees and I learned a lot from each other. I have a very strong business relationship with our AIMS partner in Sweden, delivering our services to our mutual clients. Hence the membership of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. The ambition for the Mentorship Program is to give young professionals the opportunity to connect with a senior business executive outside of his or her direct environment. Giving the participants access to guidance in issues concerning their future career. As a group we will work on specific topics such as culture and building trusted relationships and we will invite subject matter experts to come and talk to us. The Mentees and Mentors will also spend time together on subjects of their own choice.”
Malin K. Petrocchi
Malin is the Head of Speak Up & Investigations at Prosus group, Europe’s largest technology investment company. Malin trained as an investigator working for Microsoft and investigations firm Nardello & Co in London. She subsequently moved on to serve as Regional Compliance Officer for commodity trading company Glencore and later Compliance Manager for Nike in the Netherlands, before joining Prosus in April 2023.
